It was bad diff fluid (thank god for having a Torsen, no need for special diff fluids), pops fixed that by having it changed at Jiffy Lube, now it's quiet once more. Only issue left to fix is the turret transmission oil, which should fix the notchy shifts when cold. Furthermore, I was able to get the swaybar snafu fixed and will be installing it sometime next weekend after exams but I need new bolts and nuts for the endlinks and get the swaybar brace painted by either spray-can or professional powered-coated.

My friend just blew his diff in his Miata because of bad fluid. It's hard to find a replacement around here too. I'm beginning to see a pattern here.

LSD's are going for about $500-$600 a pop around here straight out of a junkyard! I'm tempted to snatch one up from the next wreck but I don't feel placing something that messy in the trunk.

Yeah, but we haven't been able to even find a single Miata in any junkyard close by, craigslist, or anything like that. My friends on a budget too so yeah. If you know of any around the seattle area, that would be beyond helpful.

Damn, I'm on the opposite end of the continent! Try to look for the Torsen units out of the NB's than the viscous diff in the NA's!
